![]() Once both bowls were filled Zuma shut off the water, but the lab just sat there, tears beginning to form in his eyes. Outside the Lookout, Zuma was filling up his and Rubble's food dishes with the water hose as Rubble went to get a cloth from his puphouse that they could use to cool Marshall down. ![]() The mixed-breed pup soon turned his attention to Marshall, climbing up on the pillows next to him, resting his head next to his sick friend as he whimpered. "Good luck, Chase!" Rocky barked as Chase entered the elevator to head upstairs. I'm gonna go upstairs and try to contact Ryder." Rocky nodded in agreement, remembering that Ryder was at his annual safety conference and that he wouldn't be back until Monday morning. "Rocky, I want you to stay here with Marshall. Finally, the police pup turned his attention to Rocky. She started it up and took off, flying towards the city. "This pup's gotta fly!" Skye yipped as she ran outside and hopped in her puphouse, transforming it into a helicopter. "Skye, I need you to fly over to Katie's clinic and tell her that Marshall's sick, and that we need her to come take a look at him." "Hey, Zuma! Wait for me!" The bulldog shouted as he ran off to catch up to the chocolate lab. He could be dehydrated." Rubble started to bark his catchphrase "Rubble, on the dou-" but was interrupted when Zuma raced past him in a hurry to get the cloth and water. Zuma, I need you and Rubble to go get a wet cloth we can put on Marshall's head to cool him down, as well as some water for him to drink. We need to get Marshall's fever down quick. Marshall let out a couple soft snores as everyone looked on in concern, except for Chase, who turned and faced the rest of the team. "Here you go, Marshall." Chase said softly as he sat down slowly, allowing the sick pup to slide gently down his back and onto the pillows. Chase stood still as the rest of the pups pushed their pillows together to make a comfortable place for Marshall to rest. He's just resting." By this time, the pups had made it inside the Lookout. ![]() Chase could feel Marshall's chest moving up and down on his back. "Heh.thanks, guys.you're the be-" But before he could finish, the fire pup fell silent. "We're taking you inside and we're gonna get your fever down, you'll feel better soon!" Marshall slowly opened one eye just enough to look at Rocky and faintly smiled. "Don't worry, Marshall!" Rocky reassured the sick pup. He was always the most energetic and playful of all the pups, but seeing him so weak was almost unbearable. It hurt them to see one of their friends in such a bad way, especially Marshall. You need to save your strength." Chase said as he and the other pups frowned. The dalmatian struggled to find the strength to even speak, and quietly said "I don't.feel too good." Now only a few steps away from the Lookout's entrance, Chase's ears perked up as he heard a weak, but familiar voice. ![]() Marshall's a tough pup, he'll make it through this!" The cockapoo smiled a little bit at the confidence in Chase's voice, but the German shepherd could have used some convincing of his own as he thought ' At least, I hope so.'. "Is.is Marshall gonna be.okay?" Chase, without looking back, replied "Don't worry, Skye. Once on Chase's back, the police pup instructed Rocky and Rubble to walk alongside him to help keep the sick pup on his back steady.Īs the pups slowly but carefully walked towards the Lookout, Skye finally managed to find her voice. Zuma, wanting to help his friends, ran behind the pups and helped push Marshall up the rest of the way. "Rubble, help Rocky get Marshall onto my back so we can get him inside!" The bulldog pup wasted no time in running to his sick friend's side, opposite Rocky, and the two pushed their heads under Marshall's chest, slowly walking forward and lifting him onto Chase's back. "Guys, he's still breathing, but we need to get him inside and get his fever down, fast!" Chase laid down in front of Marshall and looked back at Rubble. Rocky placed an ear to Marshall's side and could hear him still breathing, albeit slowly. "Mawshall.c'mon dude, wake up." Rubble and Skye just sat in silence, unsure of what to say or do. "I-I dunno! I found him like this, he's got a fever and he won't wake up!" Zuma started to tear up as he walked over to Marshall and nuzzled against his cheek. "Chase, what happened!?" Chase looked at the gray mixed-breed and stuttered. "Oh no, Marshall!" whimpered Rocky as he quickly ran over to the fallen pup and placed a paw on his side. As the German shepherd continued his efforts, the rest of the team came running over, all gasping when they saw Chase trying to awaken their friend. "Marshall! Marshall, wake up!" Chase cried as he kept nudging the unconscious fire pup.
